Magdaléna Mátušová

Magdaléna has been dancing since childhood. She has been involved in Irish dance for 20 years. Her first steps into Irish dance led to the Avalon dance group in Bratislava. Later, she improved her skills in dance schools such as Maguire O’Shea Academy of Irish Dance London, inSpiral Dance Company, Irish Dance School Prague and Scoil Rince Céim Óir(of which she has been a member since 2024). She has attended numerous Irish dance workshops and summer schools with leading Irish dance figures such as James Greenan, Colin Dunne MA TCRG, Lauren Smyth, Ronan Morgan TCRG, Jason O’Neil (Riverdance), Brigid Madden, Stephen Scariff ADCRG, Siobhan Manson (Riverdance), Colin Nee and Alison Kelly. She studied dance art (Dance for Children and Youth) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.

She has been teaching Irish dance for 10 years. She also participates in international competitions at the open championship level. In 2017, she won 2nd place at the 2017 European Championships in the Traditional Set Dance category. She is the founder of Ceim Oir Bratislava Majig Movements. She has applied and expanded her dance skills and experience in the dance shows Celtic Nights and Dance in Pulse.
