Stefano Sorrentino

In 2012 he graduated from the Conservatory of San Pietro and Majella in Naples, where he was trained by Raffaele Passaro, Assunta Ratta, Bruno Praticò and Anna Vandi Gaggiotti, among others. He continued his studies at the "Opera Studio" of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, in master classes led by Renata Scotto. Later he studied with Luca Canonici and Simonetta Tancredi.

Stefano is a laureate of awards from many national and international singing competitions. In 2012 he won third place at the prestigious Salice d'Oro International Competition. He won the ArteinCanto international competition in 2014. In 2017 was second at the Umberto Giordano competition in Foggia.

At the beginning of his career, he performed Count Almaviva in The Barbier of Seville, Lindoro in Rossini's opera The Italian in Algerine at the Teatro Marrucino in Chieti, Philander in D. Cimaros's opera Le Astuzie Femminili, Nemorino in Donizetti's The Elixir of Love at the Teatro Bellini in Naples, as well as the role of Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème at the Teatro G. Verdi in San Severo. He has collaborated with various musical groups, among others with the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti of Naples and the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra.

In 2018, he was a guest in David Dellisanti's concert series in Brazil.

Audiences could see him as Spoletta in Tosca at the Teatro Antico in Taormina, in Barcelona in 2019 he played Pauline in the musical drama "Il Matrimonio Segreto" by Domenico Cimaros, sang Alfredo in La Traviata at the Taranto Opera Festival. In 2021 he made his debut in Rossini's opera Little Mass. In the Cathedral of Salerno in December 2022, he sang in Handel's Messiah.

He also performed at the Teatro Sociale in Amelia, Italy, the Teatro Marrucino in Chieti, the Fusco Theatre in Taranto, at the Massa Marittima Festival, and the Teatro Rendano in Cosenza. He also performed in the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese New Year concerts, conducted by Nicola Paszkowski.

He is mainly known and sought after for his leading tenor roles in the Rossini repertoire.
