Emilia Diakopoulou

Emilia Diakopoulou was born and raised in Athens. At the age of 19, she moved to Italy, where she studied literature and singing at the A. Casella Conservatory in L'Aquila. After completing her bachelor's degree, she graduated from the G. Verdi and L. Cherubini Conservatory in Milan, where she graduated with a diploma.

She is constantly working on further enhancing her singing technique. She has performed with opera stars such as Martha Arapis, Dimitri Kavrakos, Marcello Giordani, Giovanna Casolla, Daniela Dessì, Renata Lamanda, and Francesca Patanè.

Following her victory in the Giulio Fregosi International Contest in Voghero, Italy, she was awarded an engagement at the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua in October 2022. She recently won Second Prize at the Altamura/Caruso International Competition in Siena, Italy.

As a soloist, Emilia has been performing since 2013 on various opera stages and events in Europe and the USA, singing mainly the main characters of romantic operas of the Italian repertoire such as Tosca, Amelia (Un ballo maschera), Lady Macbeth, Manon Lescaut, Santuzza, Leonora (La forza del destino), Adriana Lecouvreur, etc.

She has performed at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, the SND Opera in Bratislava, the Ives Concert Hall in Connecticut, the Altamura Centre for the Arts in New York, the Qendra Kulturore in Tirana, Albania, etc. In complete productions, she performed as Puccini's Tosca on tour in Poland and as Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così Fan Tutte at the Teatro dell'Aquila.

She can currently be seen on stages in Greece, Poland, Germany and Italy.
