Peter Berger

Peter Berger studied singing at the Conservatory in Košice and the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica with Prof. Eva Blahová. Later he completed master classes in singing with P. Dvorský, R. Karczykowski, Dagmar Livorová and Imre Gabriella. He is the winner of several international competitions and has already received several important awards for his art. In October 2007, he made his debut at the Slovak National Theatre as Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly.

In 2008, he guested at the National Theatre in Split in the role of Faust, which marked the beginning of his successful international career, which, in addition to Czech and Slovak stages, brought him to renowned world opera houses, such as Tokyo New National Theatre, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Beijing Opera China, Teatr Wielki-Opera Narodowa in Warsaw, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Massimo Palermo, Teatro Regio Torino, Royal Opera House Muscat, Teatro Municipal Chile. He has repeatedly appeared at the Danish Opera in Aarhus, in Bremen, Wiesbaden, Germany, and participated in major international festivals such as Glyndebourne and Wexford. Since 2008, he has been closely collaborating with the Janáček Opera in Brno and the Prague National Theatre. He is also a sought-after performer of the Czech romantic and Janáček repertoire worldwide.
