Konstantin Rittel Kobylianski

He was born in Kiev into an artistic family, the son of the famous writer Olga Kobylianskaya.

He graduated with honours from the Odessa Conservatory and vocal postgraduate studies, as well as a doctorate from the Freiburg Academy of Music in Germany. An important stage in his career was his collaboration with Sir Peter Ustinov. He has performed in Paris, Strasbourg, Rome, Naples, Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Leipzig, Moscow, Lisbon, Barcelona, St. Petersburg, Brussels, Tel Aviv, and other world stages.

His repertoire includes baritone parts in operas by Mozart, Donizetti, Bizet, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Puccini, Verdi, etc.

He is a versatile artist who also plays the "lighter" genre. After a personal meeting with Mick Jagger, he sang Sympathy for the Devil with great success.

He is the only Ukrainian recipient of the Culture Fund Prize at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. He is also the laureate of several international awards as a singer, and in 2008 he won the World Best Open-Air Production award in Orlando (USA) for producing and directing the rock opera Mystery.
