Miroslav Dvorský

He graduated from the Conservatory and Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (Prof. Ida Černecká) and also completed an interpretation course at La Scala in Milan with Luciano Silvestri.

He started his successful career at the Slovak National Theatre Opera as Nemorino in Donizetti's L'Elixir of Love. His first foreign engagements were in operas in Munich, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Hanover, Düsseldorf, Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne, Bern and Basel. During his career, he has been a regular guest at leading opera houses in major productions - Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin (La Bohème, Tosca), Deutsche Oper Berlin (Verdi's Requiem, Faust and Margaret, Nabuco), Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden (Madam Butterfly, Bat, La Bohème, Nabuco), Theatre am Gärtnerplatz Munich (The Bartered Bride, Eugene Onegin, Manon, Rusalka, La Bohème), Wiener Staatsoper (Nabucco, Simone Boccanegra, Cavalier with the Rose, Otello-Cassio, Traviata Lucia di Lammermoor, Sicilian Vespers, The Elixir of Love), Wiener Volksoper (La Bohème, Faust and Margaret, Boris Godunov), Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (Rusalka), Teatro Carlo Felice Genova (Tosca, La Bohème), Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Florence (La Bohème, Macbeth, Simone Boccanegra), Teatro lirico “Giuseppe Verdi” La Bohème, Traviata, La Bohème, Trieste (The Gypsy Baron, The Countess Marica), Opera La Ville de Marsille (Lombardy), New National Theatre Tokyo (Macbeth), Cincinnati Opera (Traviata), Canadian Opera Toronto (The Bartered Bride, Traviata, Jenůfa, La Bohéma, Rigoletto), and the National Theatre Prague Opera (Rusalka, Jenůfa, The Bartered Bride, La Bohéma, Traviata).

Dvorský's core concert repertoire mainly includes the tenor part in Verdi's Requiem, which he has performed on keynote concert stages in Lille and Paris (National Orchestre de Lille, conductor Jean-Claude Casadesus), in Milan (Sinfonica di Milano, conductor R. Chailly), at the Festspielhaus Salzburg (NTO Tonkünstlerorchester, conductor F. Luisi) and also in October 2001 in the world premiere in the first ever stage adaptation of Verdi's Requiem at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. 

He regularly collaborates with renowned symphony orchestras (Sinfonica di Milano, Orchestre Symphonique Montreal, Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Wiener Symphoniker, Orchestre de Paris, etc.). At home, he closely collaborates with the Slovak Philharmonic and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has made several recordings with leading radio companies (ORF Wien, NDR Hannover, Slovak Radio Bratislava, Czech Radio Prague). He is a welcome guest of recording studios, collaborating with companies such as Supraphon, Opus, G+J Record's International, Naxos, Discover International. His profile characters include Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème, Alfredo in Verdi's Traviata, the Prince in Dvořák's Rusalka, Jeník in Smetana's The Bartered Bride, Lensky in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Faust in Gounod's opera Faust and Margarita.
