Sonja Jahn

The German harpist from Bratislava graduated from the Bratislava Conservatory and then from the Prague Academy of Music. She completed her education at the Cologne University of Music. She is the winner of several awards from international competitions. She began her career in the Czech Philharmonic. After two years of teaching at the Academy of Music and the current engagement in the Slovak National Theatre, she performed with many orchestras and opera houses in Germany.

Currently, the focus of her performances is chamber music in various ensembles (with violin, flute, cello or voice). In addition, she is a teacher and a member of several competition juries. Her extensive activities are complemented by numerous recordings for radio and television.
