Daniel Matoušek

The Czech tenor is widely regarded as one of Central Europe's most luminous rising stars in the lyric repertoire, enjoying a career of remarkable momentum. His artistry is defined by a rare synergy of innate vocal beauty and impeccable technical discipline.

Since 2022, he has been a principal soloist at the National Theatre Prague, where he excels in some of the most demanding romantic roles, including Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore), Tamino (The Magic Flute), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), and Edmondo (Manon Lescaut).

He consistently captivates audiences with his velvety timbre and a compelling ability to imbue his characters with profound, authentic emotion.

His international presence is equally striking. Beyond his successes at numerous open-air festivals in Germany and Italy, he was a featured artist at the iSING! International Festival in China. This season, he celebrated a milestone debut at the Royal Opera House, performing the role of Janek in the historic first production of Janáček’s The Makropulos Affair at this prestigious venue.

At the 2026 New Year’s Concert in Bratislava, we shall witness him in a triumphant celebration of hope and love through the lyricism of Italian bel canto, conveying a genuine and infectious joie de vivre.
